Debt Reduction Services:
www.nfcc.org -- Consumer Credit Counseling Ser vices (CCCS) is a national network of nonprofit credit counseling agencies that examine a client’s income, expenses, assets, and liabilities and offer a range of possible options and solutions, giving clients the tools to better manage money going forward. In approximately 25 percent of the cases, CCCS ends up establishing a Debt Management Plan, whereby they try to help clients get their payments and finance charges reduced and consolidate the payments so that the clients can send them a monthly deposit for disbursement to their unsecured creditors. No matter how bad your situation is, CCCS has likely seen worse (800–388–2227).
